Sean Gristwood has been called a modern- day troubadour in a cowboy hat and well-worn boots. He’s a prairie plainsman with roots split between Alberta and his birthplace of Saskatchewan. His music is strongly influenced by icons such as Paul Brandt and Garth Brooks, as well as the poetic storytelling of Chris Ledoux.
With two singles now at radio, Gristwood is lining up to hit the studio again this fall for his next project.
Sean is authentic and unapologetic. He holds tight to the root of country music, and singing in seniors homes allows him to immerse himself in the music of the legends, while applying their influence into his own unique sound. Sean is ready and able to take his rightful place as an emerging and exciting voice in Canada’s country music scene.
With a vast song repertoire spanning the decades across genres, his live show is catered to fit any audience and any demographic. Utilizing the core three-piece format allows him to work within a budget, while easily adding players for larger band requirements.
He’s not waiting around for his big break, he’s breaking ground instead. With hundreds of shows under his belt, catch him performing in pubs, casinos, and seniors care facilities all across Western Canada!
Great show at Outriders Smokehouse BBQ and Pub tonight. These guys sound great and are very personable. Definitely keep them in mind if you are looking for fantastic listening and dancing music for any event you might have!

I wanted to send you a note to tell you how truly inspirational you are in the Live Music scene Sean! Ever since I opened my Hall Parties back in 2015 and into my Boot Scootin’ Boogie DanceHall you have maintained support of Live Music in various ways! Not only do you play for seniors who can most definitely benefit from the therapeutic value of music but you also play all sizes of venues! Live Country Music is an integral part of who you have become!
You are a most welcome sight when you walk into the DanceHall! You are always professional, yet a hug is an immediate thing, you are full of smiles because you truly enjoy what you do, you are high energy and most definitely crowd engaging! Your large selection of music makes your show different every time! Most of all your success will have a lot to do with the fact you are an all-around genuine nice guy! I look forward to having you play my stage many many more times!! Cheers!
